Today the transportation is most of all between electric cars , hybrid cars and cars with hydrogen fuel cell. But will this be the future, or are there more ways of transport in the future ?

As it looks now already we have had the last time of fuel as we know it when I write this in October 2017. So, will we all travel on motor vehicles that are battery driven with maybe solar cell ? Would not be a good thing for the environment, because it will give us a lot of heavy metals as waist product ? How to solve that then ?
